My DYI contribution has been posted before:

Converted my modern 3 hole carbon fiber slippers into a traditional touring shoe

Resoling a Pair of Look Compatible Carbon Fiber Road Shoes with Rubber, making a really nice pair of touring shoes that fit well inside toe clips

They have held up really well under hard use. The heels are starting to show wear. This winter I will add a heel piece which should make the shoe more durable
