Need a lockring bro... Or else you would either die or walk home cause you have no tools... You need a lock ring in order for the cog to stay in place as you back pedal. And if you don't put a lockring on it you will destroy the thread of the hubs. Happened to me cause the mechanic didn't used proper tools. The lock ring slipped
