Bikes: TiSport Road frame with Campagnolo Daytona/Centaur + Record/Open Pro wheels | 2002 Bianchi Volpe | 2003 Giant TCR 2 w/ Sun ME14A rims/Ultegra 6500 hubs/ Bianchi SL Centaur (currently being refurbished)

HaHaHa (that's oldspeak for "LOL")

from http://www.bianchiusa.com/06_san_mateo.html : (quoting)

"San Mateo is not a me-too racer with the ubiquitous Japanese components.
For those who prefer the solid braking and shifting that the Italian components from Campagnolo are famous for, this entry race bike is for people who want to stand out from the pack."

My comment: Veloce components are great. Bianchi SL frames are great, I have a 2000 model year.
Vento G3 wheels are really pretty cool but I prefer non-paired/triplet spoked wheels.

bottom line: there's nothing that unusual about the San Mateo. Glad to see some more OEM Campagnolo for sale in the USA though. Buycycling magazine is nar but a bevy O' shills
