I visited my gf's sister who lives there last year. Man...flat as all get out. I didn't notice a lot of bike lanes or anything like that; nor many people on bikes. Once the snow birds leave I hear it's really a pretty quiet place, probably safe to ride in traffic lanes w/o much problem. I get the impression that St. Pete is definitely quieter than Tampa at night from the sister.

When I was there I decided to check the Tampa Craigslist site section for bikes for sale....pretty much void of anything except the occassional Huffy for sale.
