Just understand that a truing stand that has many moving parts also won't control dish consistently without it's own dish adjustment over time. I've used many TS-XXX and other types of truing stands and all of them (including the VAR Preciray sitting in my shop) don't offer a no fuss dishing control. None do. Now after the stand's dish is set one can get pretty close and for most that's good enough, tires and frames often have greater alignment/seating tolerances then a wheel does.
But for those of us who think about this stuff and care to eliminate aspects of "error" relying on a truing stand, to supply an accurate dish control, isn't good enough. I'd rather use stacks of coins on a table top then rely on a stand's dishing set up. Having said that we do what we must with what we have when we need to. Andy
