Bikes: Foundry Chilkoot Ti W/Ultegra Di2, Salsa Timberjack Ti, Cinelli Mash Work RandoCross Fun Time Machine, 1x9 XT Parts Hybrid, Co-Motion Cascadia, Specialized Langster, Phil Wood Apple VeloXS Frame (w/DA 7400), R+M Supercharger2 Rohloff, Habanero Ti 26

I have two at this point and they are just fine any dandy. Really easy to take on and off without a bunch of tools and so far has been quiet and smooth. On my road bike I am using a Wheels Manufacturing Ceramic Hybrid BB if I am not mistaken and on my parts bin hybrid I have a slightly used Shimano Tiagra BB. I personally would probably stick with another MUSA BB because they can be had for a reasonable amount and are generally of good quality so less replacement but you can get the higher end Shimano stuff for pretty cheap and replace it as needed.

There are some nicer square taper cranks from Sugino and René Hersé (Compass Bicycle) but certainly we are seeing less square taper. I honestly was in the square taper or death category for a while but I have really warmed up to the 2 piece stuff like Hollowtech II. If you can go stronger and lighter and easier to use that is always a good thing. However like shelbyfv I don't think the bearings will last any less then an equivalent square taper BB
