Well, for the record, I always wear my helmet when I ride. I don't have any problems with "helmet hair", even though my hair is quite long. Some of my friends tell me that I look like a valkyrie when I ride, with the helmet and long blonde hair flying in the breeze!

On a more serious note, I got knocked off my bike by a truck at a roundabout intersection a few years ago. Fortunately, no one was travelling very fast, but I still did get knocked unconsious for a few minutes, but no serious injuries thankfully. btw, I WAS wearing a helmet then, as well. I daresay I would have sustained more serious injuries if I wasn't wearing it, but anyway, just my 2 cents...
