Hi! Happy new year, hope it comes with nothing but good thing for you all

I have a question and I really hope you can help me. I have a Giant XTC Advanced 2 27.5 2016 with a "Fox 32 Float Performance Remote, 100mm Travel, FIT4 Damper, Remote Lockout, QR15, Tapered". With time, dust/mud and use the fork doesn't work as it used to (the remote system stucks, it doesn't return and it's not the remote thing but the internal blocking system in the fork) and I'm really tired now of being trying to get it to work again. I'd like to change the fork but I don't know what other forks - FOX or Rock Shox - can be used un my bike.

I've been told that the main issue is the tappered thing and the Giant's OverDrive 2 system (1 1/8 - 1 1/2). Could you please help me here? I'd really appreciate your answer
