The guy in the shop ..... he said scuff the tyre up well (it includes something to do it with) and he reckoned it'd deal with quite a reasonable size hole ... maybe some makes are better than others**********????
Yes, I was lucky only an hour walk both times and the weather was nice.
Yes, light the "pre-glued" side for a second or two (I've never actually tried it) before pressing the patch onto the puncture site.
I've still got the Park PK2 in my seat bag as an extra precaution (it's so tiny) but I've always been able to complete my rides, if I get a flat, with a new tube that I always make sure to carry.
