I bought mine for weight/compactness

I ordered mine (longest 60" black color both lock and rubber mounting band black) right when it came on the market. $60+$10 shipping, yikes! Took FOREVER, 9 months to actually receive it after I ordered it! I bought it because of the low weight and how compact and easy it is to hook on/off the bike. My plan is to use it on my overseas SE Asia trips traveling with my S&S coupler 700c wheel road/trail/cyclocross bike or folding 26" wheel MTB. There's a 44-50 lbs. weight limit + 62 linear inch luggage size limit flying these bikes 'stealth mode' sneaking them as regular luggage to avoid exorbitant airline bike fees. Now I gotta find a bike alarm that calls my smart phone when tampered with that works all over the world. Any advice on that would be appreciated. BTW Ottolock's a pretty awesome lock, been using it on my bikes parking it outside restaurants and stores for up to 2 hrs. I sneak peak ever 20 min. or so to make sure noone's messing with the bike. Pretty easy setting/changing combo and locking up bike and rolling up and attaching lock back onto bike. Wish it had #4 vs. #3 number dials though, oh well. It's super long so I lace it through the frame and both wheels and around whatever I lock it to with plenty of extra slack so locking 2 or more bikes with 1 lock is possible. My 60" version weighs only 8 oz. Not really sure how secure it is, probably more so than a 12mm cable lock, but maybe a 15mm cable lock is better than an Ottolock. Several youtube videos confirm the band is very hard to cut with bolt cutters or massive tin snips. No videos out there on trying to break Ottolock's dial locking mechanism or hacksawing through band. It does look like bike theives would think it would be easy to break, hence the reason buying a less visible black one like I did is a better idea. Overall I really dig this lock but I won't buy another because ITS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!
