^^ Can't disagree with the posts from rccardr and tkamd73 -- I largely wanted to stave off disappointment with the CR18 in particular.

I don't ride my 700C bikes a lot these days, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming up new wheelsets from time to time. Here's what I'd like to build next:

Front: Pacenti Forza 28 x2, DT Competition Race (2.0/1.6/2.0)
Rear: Pacenti Forza (offset) 32 x3, DT Revolution (2.0/1.5/2.0) on left, DT Competition (2.0/1.8/2.0) on right

I'd probably use Tricolor hubs for mine, but one could use anything they preferred. While the rims are fairly modern, I'd like to think that the wheels would honor the spirit and intent of a Paramount pretty well, and wide rims help make the most of a frame with tight tire clearance. Should put a smile on one's face when riding.
