Are you the same weight now as you were in your 20’s? It sounds like you’re still trying to lose weight. If so, it’s difficult to add power and drop weight at the same time. Once your weight is stable if you increase your training load you should start to see power go up. One other concern with regard to speed is your riding position. If you’re more upright now for whatever reason your speed will be lower.
