I'm sure the doctor would appreciate OP's courteous gesture of showing up all smooth down there. If they do have to lance something or stitch something, they'll probably have to shave it anyway.
I haven't checked though - is waxing something you can do at home? Or do you have to go to one of those studios I see in the shopping centers?
