I had the tool bolted in with a long bolt and washer across the shell. This one was so bad the bearings were literally gone and the spindle fell right out. It was the guys "winter beater" and saw lots of salt with no maintenance. I have a bolt that stays with the tool to fit the spindle threads and hold it in but when the spindle is falling out it didn't help.
