My nephews raced MTB all the way through HS, and routinely ran 15-20psi in the front and 20-25psi rear (depending on the tire and conditions) on tubeless 29ers. I've run tubeless 700x38 CX/gravel tires at 40psi, and I weigh 210lbs. I don't rely on a goddamn online calculator to set my tire pressures. I go by what works.
Tubed pressures ≠ tubeless pressures
My MTB 27x2.2 tubeless at 25ish seems ideal for some things but it bounces way too much on smother sections of pedaling for me (not suspension bounce). I mainly do XC type riding or mixed and there is a lot of non eventful but heart pounding point A to B involved.
No real point here, just my 0.02. I do what seems to work..
