As the keto diets were originally popularized by bodybuilders with high protein needs for musclebuilding I too am concerned with non weight trainers consuming extremely high protein levels and even they when on these diets can consume too much if used for energy rather than musclebuilding.I personally believe protein levels should be only enough for musclebuilding and general body maintenence needs and no more or you will run into problems longterm. In fact that is my whole philosophy most whole foods are healthy as long as being utilized as intended but too much or too little can cause problems particularly over the long term.P.S. One thing I find interesting though is cholesterol and triglyeride levels seem to improve inspite of the high saturated fat levels.
