USPS.. Don't USE!!

I know there was a recent thread on the USPS, but I wanted to warn you guys about using them to ship bikes or high value items. I recently sold a 2003 De Rosa frame on ebay and decided to ship USPS priority, insured with signature. This is the first time I chose USPS over bikeflight/ FEDEX. I pre printed the label on ebay, boxed the frame up and dropped it off at the post office. A couple days go by and I notice there is no activity on the tracking number, so I decided to stop by the post office and inquire. They said they have no record of me dropping the box off, nor can they locate it anywhere. A couple weeks go by and nothing. I filed a claim, however, it was denied, as they have no proof it was dropped off. I'm going to fight this as long as I can! BEWARE!!!
