Does Connex make the chain more friendly toward shimano or sram drivetrains (or campy for that matter)? Also read the 4th review on Amazon's page for the Connex 11SX from the guy who runs a Red setup.
Wow that's the exact opposite to what I've read about 11s compatibility between Campy, Shimano and SRAM. The article is slightly outdated because hasn't Shimano ditched the road specific 11s chains and now just have the HG6xx,HG7xx,HG9xx that were originally meant for mtb?

I immediately pulled out the pin on my Shimano hg701 (lbs...) So I got fed up and quickly put a quick link on. Can't remember if it was kmc or sram. Maaaybe I should look into it more, but there hasn't been excessive wear, noise or shifting performance.
