When my mom was alive, she liked to sew and make clothes, and create crafty things. She had a little banner hanging on the wall of her sewing room that read "Whoever dies with the most fabric wins." Cute. Well, she did very well in that contest. But I don't think it's the same for bicycles. I'd say that whoever rides the most wins (with no consideration awarded for the number of bikes owned). So get out there and ride the bikes you have instead of buying more of them.

Why do mom's like to have cute phrases and sayings? LOL!! Along with cycling, amateur radio is another one of my passions, and the same n+1 principle that applies to bikes can apply to amateur radios as well. Anytime I'd have to take my mom someplace (she didn't drive so I was her taxi), when she'd get in my car and see a new radio, she would always ask why I had gotten another radio. "You can only use one at a time," she'd say. Said the same when I bought a second and then a third bike back in the day.
