Well I ordered the XTR M950 for what seems to be a good price ($90) from Ebay so I’m committed there. I’d be curious to know which cassettes this is compatible with, I hope to be able to use Shimano or SRAM 10 speed road.

For years, I was super conservative with the specs on wheels that I had built since I was younger then and wanted to build “lifetime” wheels. I’ve come to view wheels more like a consumable. I’d like to push the limit within reason and see what can be gained through taking a few more risks. Yes, I like the idea of offset rims. The Velocity Quill that I’m looking at does not come in an offset version, the A23 does.
