All I can say is look at cure times; the longer the cure, the stronger the material is. Try to find out what the frame-maker used; maybe call up a composite-fabrication company and see if you can get a pointer from their engineer. Marine epoxies ought to be pretty high-grade.

Be prepared to make a choice between hardware-store stock and something far more expensive.
