Trek Crossrip 2 vs Felt VR40 vs Fuji Sportif 1.0 disc

I'm shopping around for a new bike this spring and have decided I want a real versatile bike. I'm looking at disc brakes so I can easily fit wider tires. My price range is up to about $1500, but the cheaper the better. The bikes I am mostly interested in right now are the Trek Crossrip 2, Felt VR40, or the Fuji Sportif 1.0 disc. The Trek shop is the most conveniently located, but Felt is about a half hour away, and there is a Performance bike about an hour away. From what I can see all three bikes seem comparable, endurance geometry, disc brakes, wider tires, aluminum frame, carbon fork... The Trek and Felt are both Tiagra and similarly priced ($1,350 and $1,300). The Fuji however has the 105 group and is much cheaper at $899. Am I missing something or is the Fuji just a much better deal? Are these bikes as comparable as I think, or is there a good reason to spend more on a Trek or a Felt? Trek seems to be the heaviest of the bunch listed at 24.36lbs. The Felt is 21.83, and the Fuji probably about the same as the Felt. Curious what people think of these 3 bikes. Am I on the right track for a good versatile bike?

Another question I have is going fromm more of a race bike to an endurance bike. My current bike is a Nishiki Maricopa which is more of a race bike than endurance. I don't really have any complaints about comfort on this bike. Will an endurance bike feel slow? Or will I just feel more comfortable?
