the other side, I just took the ring off unscrewed the bolt and consigned the whole thing to a drawer..

Octa link and isis are not tapered, so not stretching an over tightened taper in the aluminum arm, so it would not budge..

in retrospect, If I had removed the self extractor, removed the crank arm, then put it back on with an adequate known torque,

then it likely would have not stripped the arm threads..

with the lesson on my Koga WTR, Strong light Mygal cranks , I took the ones off the octa link bike.. never missed them ..
