I don't know if that's true, really. I was riding next to a bus at a bus stop when the driver decided it was time to go. I was past the rear of the bus before they went from 4-ways to turn signal. Really easy to miss that change anyway, flashes at a different rate. It's amazing how fast a bus can turn from a dead stop. Fortunately, I ride pretty far out in the lane while passing a parked vehicle, most cyclists don't and would have been severely injured. Still was a near miss.

If we start rehashing that Boston incident, I will close this thread too.
What convinces you of that?

I'm not asserting any statistic of CDL vs cyclist fault, but it seems like everyone else is. I don't have a bias either way - it just seems unlikely that it is always the driver's fault.
