Seriously, about the whole crosswalk tangent...In Ventura there's a nice bike path to take to Ojai. At one spot you actually trigger some device in the path that then turns on these blinking lights on the coming crosswalk so that when you get there the cars are stopped for you. Bike triggers sensor in street, cross traffic stops, bike goes. Seems like a typical vehicular procedure if you ask me.
