Oddly my mother-in-law (from Hangzhou) gave my wife a first name
which she herself couldn't pronounce. (Couldn't get the hang of the "l".)
Anyway, don't worry about language pedants...just roll with the punches.
Your "Engrish" looks good to me. (Much better than my Beijing hua.)
