I'm not saying this is cheap by any means, but if you are *really* committed to badge restoration, you can always enlist a metal engraver/printer shop to produce what you want. The first link, you could lay out what you want printed in illustrator, maybe make multiples to sell on ebay or something if you can get them laser cut out of the sheet.

You can also customize the text on a law enforcement badge, bend it to shape, and affix it to your frame. https://www.badgeandwallet.com/badge...SAAEgLqgfD_BwE

The real deal is Northern Engraving, who use a variety of embossing, etching, and printing methods to create most of the really nice badges you see on products. It would be pricey for sure, but maybe they could point someone in the direction of a less expensive alternative? Northern Engraving | Modern Metal Trim, Nameplates and Appliance Panels
