True less work, But using a heat gun you risk damaging the paint. And as the steel heats up slower more of the heat is transferred to the aluminum makes it that much harder to cool. Freeze Off doesn't say how much it drops the temp of the part it's sprayed on. The brine will get you to -10 to-20 degrees and makes a real good heat sink. The faster you can change the temperatures and the bigger the difference in temp. the better chance you have of breaking the corrosion and being able to remove the post
