When removing a stuck aluminum seatpost from a steel frame, remember aluminum is a better conductor of heat or cold than steel, and it expands or contracts more, and faster than steel. So you are going to heat the steel and freeze the aluminum.
1; fill ½ bucket with cold water dissolve as much salt as you can in it ,fill with ice cubes, add water to top.
2; boil a few quarts of water.
3; pour the boiling water on the steel seat tube near the top. You want the steel to expand.
4; immediately stick the aluminum seatpost in the freezing water, you want it to contract. Let it in there for 30 -60 secons
5; wrap a piece of cardboard around the seatpost, put a pipe wrench on it and smack with a rubber mallet a few times , left ,right, and down.
6; repeat 3,4,5 till it comes loose. Might take 5 or six times
Going to try Freeze Off and boiling water. Will let you know how it goes
