I don't know whether I'm over my acquisitiveness, but I should be. Recently put together a bike for pure awesomeness sake. It's fast, gorgeous and delightfully light, but I feel I've reached or passed the point of diminishing returns on cost and shopping effort.
Previous bikes were pretty much all for different kinds of rides - first bike was a race bike, then I got a steel bike for longer more leisurely rides, then a fixed-gear, then a cross bike for riding trails. One exception was when I replaced the race bike with one that fit (and looked) better. Not interested in mountain biking or fat bike (40mm tires on the TCX are fat enough), commuting, beach cruising, errand running or loaded touring, so I should be all set. I may try my hand at time trials, but some aero bars and an adjusted saddle on the Propel should do the trick - it already has some nice aero tubulars.
