In addition to commuting; I also use my bike(s) for grocery shopping, travelling, etc. I find folding/detaching pedals helpful.
First MKS pedals were Esprit EZY Superior; seems nice, no issues. Normally you have to look to line up the dots to disengage;
after a while I learned to detach just by feeling. Sold it because I can't switch between clipless & flats.

Next I tried MKS Urban Step-in A; 1 side platform/1 side clipless(Time ATAC copy). Platform side is okay; but I didn't like the engagement of the clipless side. Sold it.
Right now I'm using MKS EZY US-S; SPD clipless version. So far I like it. Also have Ti Part Workshop Double X(MKS EZY Compact copy in titanium) in the closet.
Now I can swap between platforms and clipless between my 3 bikes.
