I figured that the creek flood had receded enough to be passable, and that was true if you don't mind dragging the bottom bracket through water. In my defense it was atypical, over the banks earlier this week from rainfall further north - not that much here - quickly dropping then a day later heavy rain flooding it again. So I figured the ground to be less saturated allowing quicker run-off.
But I had just lubed my chain the day before, so of course I forge through and wash it all off. It wasn't kind to my chain cover either

Oh well, it was fun at the time and about time to lube hubs anyway so I won't complain ... more than I already have anyway ...
