Charles River Conservancy was trimming the overhanging brush along the MDC Bike path today much to my delight. Lots of cell phone using, Ipod wearing pedestrians along the bike path despite the temperature- I think the sun brought them out but it was cold. In an attempt to weave around two pedestrians, who took no notice of my ringing bell, I hopped onto the frozen ground- I think I'd been running the Nokia's a little low on pressure- and sure enough got a pinch flat on the back wheel.

Actually took note of the time it took to change the flat and I was able to rather leisurely make the change of tubes in 7 minutes 45 seconds. Still got to work on time. Rode home tonight at 11:30p and despite the temperature being in the high teens (farhenheit) was toasty warm because I pushed the pace. Evidently a little too hard as I snapped a spoke on a slight uphill. So nice riding today but a mechanically challenging one.
