I'm looking forward to hearing about your 70 miles a day adventures, I did 60 miled/day all through last winter, now I only do 45 miles/day via the direct route but I really miss my old commute so I often stretch the ride home to 50 miles making it 70 for the day. the good news is that my employer is relocating further away and from the 10th of February onwards I'll be doing 65 miles a day!! funny how I was the only one in the company that was happy when they announced the move

All you need is 1) a reliable bike, 2) with a good seat, 3) plenty of carbs, 4) plenty of water, 5) good lights, 6) a good night's sleep EVERY night, 7) carry 3 spare tubes and a patch kit.
