I understand the pro-helmet argument, but also accept the dangers of not wearing one. Like many have said, it really is all personal choice. I for one don't wear one because I hate the feeling of it on my head. Also, and it is a pretty stupid reason, the girls here in Tallahassee seem to think it is hot when the biker guys wear skull caps, bike hats, or just hoods. : /

I enjoy reading this argument though.
In another thread in Foo, I came up with this:

Helmets, no helmets
Is a question asked of me
Look dumb or be dumb

As you say it is a personal choice. And I will defend your right to be stupid. I defind mine on other things all the time. But I would just say this. Your head is not just important to you but to those who care for you. When I became a parent, I began to wear my helmet religiously. Blah, blah, the whole responsible adult thing you know? Do what you want. Chicks are important too. I only ever met one I would lose my head over. And I married her. She makes me wear a helmet.
