Those studded winter tires for 27.5+ are expensive! But in your area they would probably never wear down. I'm thinking you have to grab a pair during an end of season sale.

Maybe find a cheap pair of treads and try the diy studded tires?

I'll second this! I did this last November for my new 1x11 drive train. Of course our whole tax refund will be going to said card, as well as a good portion of my paycheck till the early summer
