I know how you feel. But if the world was made of just people like me (us?).... it would be a world of red and yellow road bikes. Although they would all be [spotlessly] clean, shiny, and well maintained... it would still be a bit boring.
I am of general agreement. Still, if I wanted to see old, poorly kept-up bikes of all varieties, I'd just go to the coop where I volunteer and...fix them up on Tuesday nights. There's enough visual disappointment in the world, I try to mitigate that, as do many of us here. Keep beauty around, I say.
