picked up this Eddy Merckx TI frame for my next build.

anyone know anything about this specific frame?

from all the AX’s i’ve seen, the tubes seem to be the same diameter for all three tubes, however this frame has a flattened down tube at both ends, and is much wider than the rest.

gunna build it up with modern components (11speed).
thinking a full 105 5800 (black)
with a columbus minimal fork,
carbon seatpost
and a carbon wheelset i have kicking around (reynolds attack)

I’m not really digging the finish of the titanium. a little too shiny for me.
thinking about stripping off the decals, and giving it a more matte finish.

any tips on achieving that ^^^
