I feel like I have benefited at least a little bit from the Petersen philosophy over the years. Interestingly, I have never bought anything directly from Rivendell because everything I have ever been interested in was available cheaper somewhere else. I'm a little conflicted. I'd like to see Rivendell stay in business, but if I get some of the gift cards it would basically be a donation.
I was torn too until I thought about an old friend who quit building frames back in the 90's because he wasn't making enough to survive.
Didn't want to see that talent lost to the bicycle world like it was for me when Gunnar quit.
So I bought one. How many catalogs cost you like a coffee table book anyway.
