I bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 to take with me when I am on the bike, kayaking, and hiking. It has 5 megapixels , 3X optical lense and image stabilization. The stabilization comes in handy on a bike in motion. The Leica lense is a plus, also.
It cost me 276 USD for the camera and I bought a 526 meg high speed card for 44 USD.
The fact that it has a beautiful shiny black body had no influence on my purchase decision at all.
