I've been using a Minolta DiMage X for the past four years and have been pretty happy with it. It's pretty thin and compact. The optical zooming lens does not protrude from the body so it doesn't snag on anything when I draw it out of my jersey pockets on the move. That combined with fast startup time allows me to take shots using one hand while moving. I am now pretty accomplished at performing a one-handed Ninja-style draw, switch-on, shoot, return while riding. My camera is only a 2MP model but newer versions go up to 6MP and 8MP I believe. Another camera which has similar capabilities is the Sony T-series. They're generally a bit more expensive though.
