[MENTION=390976]Phamilton[/MENTION], yes, that's coarse, and some seatpost have more than that. Some seatpost are micro-adjustable, which some people need. I've always managed to find a good angle even with the coarsest seat clamp, so I'm either lucky or unpicky. You definitely need a new seatpost.
