it still creaks out of the saddle. the sound is more like the crumpling of an aluminium soda can at a slower pace.
will try to oil the pedal threads tomorrow....

Get off the seat and stand up when pedaling. If it still creak then it’s not the seat/seatpost. Take pedals off and clean them and put some new grease on them. That solved my problem.
