Spokes, of course, depend on the length you're using. Straight, butted, bladed, straight pull, j-bend, etc. Oh, also stainless vs galvanized.

The short 2mm chromed brass nipples are still very much in use today. There is some debate about chromed brass vs aluminum, but a lot of people like to use the chromed brass.

Galvanized, and long nipples can also be used, but have less of an appeal.

Anyway, those nipples in the photo... use them and build some good wheels
