no guitars but I recently got a decent violin- its faux vintage (copy of a Guadagnini) but still classic in its own way. Jay Haide which is actually two people, one in Berkeley and one in China who make very nice fiddles for those of us who can't afford full artisan craft. Sort of like a nice production Japanese copy of a handcrafted Italian race bike.
still does its business very well but you don't have to mortgage your house.
