Relevate Tangle bag worked great on my cx bike for rides like Katy Trail. Not too wide and fits most essentials and is very tough. Set you back 100 but worth every dollar.
+1 on this. I use a medium on my Salsa Colossal and can still access both water bottles. I can fit a rain jacket or arm/leg warmers, my Rx glasses, snacks and a multi tool no problem. I use in spring/fall mostly when weather is iffy on my longer rides.
