I'm not averse to riding in cold weather but it's harder to get motivated plus the road salt can be a problem. I started skiing ~4 years ago, it's a nice complement to cycling. Skiing has been a fun challenge to get to level 5. Got a couple of bumps & strains along the way, I figure you probably have enough skill to avoid those beginner things.
Yeah, I'll ride down into the 20's ... teens is getting a bit cold. When I got my Trek Domane, I kept my old Canondale as a winter/bad weather bike so I spare the newer bike from the slush and salt. When I was in my twenties and early thirties, skiing was my favorite sport ... just loved it. Married someone from the Philippines so skiing isn't so big there

... so, my skiing became more occasional.
