The local (part-time) agent/dealer has had to downsize his house and garage/bike store. He has a full time job that actually pays his mortgage and living costs etc. He sells some trikes each year but the market for recumbent bikes is very, very small here. He had been trying to sell the bike for several years on the TradeMe (the local replacement for eBay). The last time he tried to sell it he couldn't even sell it at the equivalent of US$360. He knows I a) collect bikes and b) actually still ride a recumbent bike. So he decided to give me the surplus bike. He still has one bike for himself.
