FS reminds me a bit of Press Fit. Press fit can generally be tamed as well but many struggle with it. Your particular data point...the lens you look through, everything is rosy. Not so with others including accounts of many returns to the bike shop. Yes, some of the complaints are set up error, without a doubt, not unlike a Press Fit BB.
Metallurgy is likely less of an issue compared to tolerances. You have a sample of one. One thousand tells a broader story.
