"The city is hiring a Canadian consulting firm to design a “consistent and connected bicycle grid.”

Mayor Dan Horrigan announced Wednesday a $127,000 grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to hire Copenhagenize Design Co. of Montreal, Canada. The firm specializes in human transportation networks and has agreed to undertake a comprehensive planning strategy to connect the city’s 25 miles of existing biking paths and 16 miles more coming online soon.
